Sameer teaches at Packer Collegiate Institute. He went to MIT for math and teaching. After a stint in graduate school, he made a u-turn back into the classroom where he has been since. Recently, some special things he has done include organizing a math-art gallery show in his school, where he has also started and sustained a student-run math-science journal. He helps organize the annual TMC conference, and recently ran a virtual conference which had people blog about the mathematical flavor of their classroom. He is a proud member of the math-twitter-blogosphere (#MTBoS), an unbelievably supportive group of math teachers who geek out about math teaching online.
Matt is in his sixth year teaching high school math in Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of both the Math for America Master Teacher fellowship and the Desmos Teacher fellowship. Matt is also very active in the online math teaching community known as the #MTBoS, which has led to several presentations in NYC and around the US. Matt focuses primarily on discussion in math, and is trying to do more work with equity in STEM classrooms. He tweets frequently (@stoodle) and blogs intermittently (https://pythagoraswasanerd.wordpress.com/).
